We were driving home to Wisconsin from PCB and our van broke down…it was 4:30 am, I called and they came and towed us. One of their kind mechanics came and fixed our van and we were back on the road in hours. It was their overall friendliness, the fact that they went above and beyond that they deserve more than five stars. If I didn’t live in Wisconsin I’d have them service all our cars but we are forever grateful they serviced us when we needed them.

Highly recommend southern Dixie! After calling all around for a tire so we could travel back to Arkansas, these amazing people came in on a Saturday to help us get back home. These are some kind hearted and reliable people!

My husband and I were driving cross country for an interview and had a blow out at 6 am on a Sunday. The owners were so so kind and helpful, we were so grateful to have broken down where we did to be able to meet such sweet people. Cannot recommend them enough.

They quickly diagnosed and repaired an issue with my Dad's car. We had been quoted a price of $1,700 by a local dealership and Southern Dixie was able to make the repair for 80% less! My vehicle brokedown on my way from Huntsville to Mobile. I got to their repair shop the minute they were closing and they all stayed to help me with my car! It reminded me of my grandfather when he owned several auto businesses. These people are a family owned business and care about the people they help. Their prices are good and fair. Their attitude is beyond exceptional.

I was traveling from mobile to talladega when my alternator decided it was gonna crap out on us. Luckily we made it to clanton and this shop was the first we saw and we just picked it because it was close. Little did I know they would be one of if not the best mechanic experience I have ever had. We decided to wait in the shop given us not being from the area. We were in and out in about 3 hours or so. They were so nice, kept us updated, and made sure we were ok the whole time we were there. Very reasonably priced and fair. Being there for 3 hours there were a few other people that were in and out and they treated everyone with the same kindness and understanding. It was honestly refreshing to see. If you are ever in a bind with your vehicle and are in the clanton area give this shop a call.

I'm a hot shot driver. I destroyed my front brakes and in doing so blew out my F/R tire. Yes, I know what your thinking. I am a dummy. I called a local tow company (Mims wrecker Service, more on them in a few) and they happened to be across the street from Southern Dixie Auto. I called them and they got me in as soon as I walked in. They took care of me and got my truck fixed good as new in about 3 hours from walk in. 2 rotors, 2 sets of pads, 1 caliper, 1 used tire to get me home. Very good people here. I would give 6 stars if I could. Mims Wrecker Service (leaving a review for them also) towed me in and stored my gooseneck while my truck was being worked on. Damn good people!

I had an excellent experience with this auto tow and repair service. Dana answered the phone and was professional, calm, and incredibly helpful from the start, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Rodney and Derrick assisted with the tow and repair, and they were outstanding — prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. They explained everything clearly, worked quickly, and treated my vehicle with care. You can tell they genuinely know what they’re doing and take pride in their work. Absolutely no he beat people. Colton went above and beyond for my family. I live in tn and my mom broke down near Clanton Al. Colton came to her rescue and not only picked up her truck but 4 of my family members and stayed with them in the air condition (it was 98 degrees) for two hours or more while I ran around trying to get a rental. They ultimately repaired my mom’s truck and were in constant communication the entire step of the way. It took 3.5 half weeks to repair the truck but to no fault of this company. We had to have a new engine. Colton did everything he could to get us the best deals and parts.i truly appreciate him more than he will ever know. It’s hard to find honest people these days and I feel this company and the employees are more than amazing people. I highly recommend them. Again I love in TM but would go back to them for any issues I may have in the future

cannot thank these people enough. derek came and got me my fiancé and toddler off the side of the highway on a sunday night. drove us to a hotel and picked us up in the morning while we waited for our new tires. they charged me over $200 LESS for 4 brand new tires, a tow, and an alignment than other “rapid roadside assistance” business tried to charge us. i cannot thank them enough. incredibly kind people.

I had to call them around 9 p.m. in an emergency when my wife had a blown tire while driving on the highway near the shop exit. I spoke with Dana, and she, along with Derrick, immediately stepped in to help. Since I wasn’t there in person, Derrick kept me updated through calls and messages, even sending photos of the process. He did a thorough inspection, noticed that another tire was also unsafe, and made sure everything was taken care of. They were incredibly kind, professional, and quick to make sure my wife could get back on the road safely. On top of that, the price was excellent. I couldn’t be more grateful — highly recommend Southern Dixie Automotive for their outstanding service!

So far so good.. After setting an appointment to find out why my check engine light had come on, we agreed on a time to have the repair done . I was called and informed of the problem and was given a price for the repair I felt it was fair and reasonable. The repair was completed on the same day and I was able to pick it up and get on my way!!

Call in for new tires and alignment. Robert gave me a quote within seconds, very competitive on the pricing so it was a no brainer. Took my f250 that same night and picked it up the next day. The truck feels and drives like brand new. The team at Southern Dixie are efficient and have very competitive prices. I would definitely recommend them and will keep bringing my vehicles to them. Great place friendly staff

Decided to try someone new and a small personal owned buisness, well lets just say because i used a new larger chain that moved to our town and have been very very disappointed! I am not into bashing their name, they will do that themselves over enough time. I am how ever into and willing to give great credit where credit is due! This was and has been several times now the fastest, most detailed, honest and best price company and people of Chilton County to deal with. At the almost rip age of 50 i have had to deal with alot of car issues alot more than my pocket has wanted over the years, so when i say i was scared to hear the total is and understatement, but when i got the call i was shocked at how detailed the break down was and also very very resonable for 2026 prices, i can say for myself, i have a new buisness in Clanton that from this day forward will be my one and only problem fixers, and mainteance buisness my family will use! Thank you guys so much! 10/10 all the way across the board!

Driving back from Destin, we were involved in a wreck! My car needed to be towed to prevent further damage and I just couldn’t leave her so far from home. Derrick towed my car from Clanton, Al all the way to Glasgow, KY and dropped her off around 1am after working all day long! He kept in contact with me the whole time! I can’t speak highly enough on him and his family’s business and they deserve a 20/10. The most down to earth, genuine person, and he made a terrible situation a lot smoother and easier on us. Our Subaru broke down (dang electronic thermostat!) around 5pm just south of Clinton and we were STUCK in a perilously narrow shoulder on I 65. Billy came out and got our car AND our camper to the Subaru dealer in Montgomery just in time! He saved the day for sure!!

I broke down on my way home from Destin on Labor Day. I live in Nashville so this place is around 4.5 hours away. I was sitting in Love’s parking lot in Clanton trying to figure out what I was going to do when one of their drivers approached me and asked what was wrong. They got my truck over to their shop and took great care of me. Everyone at this place is so friendly and got my truck fixed in less than a day and for a good price. They also didn’t try to force any unnecessary repairs on me as well. I highly recommend these lovely people to anyone in need of a car repair!
