They were so nice and were able to get me in asap and help me before my trip out of town.
Decided to try someone new and a small personal owned buisness, well lets just say because i used a new larger chain that moved to our town and have been very very disappointed! I am not into bashing their name, they will do that themselves over enough time. I am how ever into and willing to give great credit where credit is due! This was and has been several times now the fastest, most detailed, honest and best price company and people of Chilton County to deal with. At the almost rip age of 50 i have had to deal with alot of car issues alot more than my pocket has wanted over the years, so when i say i was scared to hear the total is and understatement, but when i got the call i was shocked at how detailed the break down was and also very very resonable for 2026 prices, i can say for myself, i have a new buisness in Clanton that from this day forward will be my one and only problem fixers, and mainteance buisness my family will use! Thank you guys so much! 10/10 all the way across the board!
I was traveling from mobile to talladega when my alternator decided it was gonna crap out on us. Luckily we made it to clanton and this shop was the first we saw and we just picked it because it was close. Little did I know they would be one of if not the best mechanic experience I have ever had. We decided to wait in the shop given us not being from the area. We were in and out in about 3 hours or so. They were so nice, kept us updated, and made sure we were ok the whole time we were there. Very reasonably priced and fair. Being there for 3 hours there were a few other people that were in and out and they treated everyone with the same kindness and understanding. It was honestly refreshing to see. If you are ever in a bind with your vehicle and are in the clanton area give this shop a call.

We were driving home to Wisconsin from PCB and our van broke down…it was 4:30 am, I called and they came and towed us. One of their kind mechanics came and fixed our van and we were back on the road in hours. It was their overall friendliness, the fact that they went above and beyond that they deserve more than five stars. If I didn’t live in Wisconsin I’d have them service all our cars but we are forever grateful they serviced us when we needed them.
I want to thank everyone that works at Southern Dixie Automotive. I broke down 250 miles from home at 11:30 at night. They were so nice and helpful from the moment they took my call. My car was towed per my request to their repair shop and I was dropped me off as I requested at the hotel nearby. Next morning first thing they had already started diagnosing what was wrong with my car. Which isn't easy because it is a little foreign car that not all mechanics work on. They figured it out and the cost for the tow and immediate service was very reasonable. They took great care of myself and my little car. I can't recommend them enough. If you are looking for a trustworthy company to rescue you, this is the company.
They are fair at their price and shows excellent care and service to their customers. I've made them my local mechanic shop. I refuse to go anywhere else.

Southern Dixie Auto Repair truly lives up to all their stellar reviews! They are so friendly, professional and helpful. They take pride in doing their best to get you back on the road in a safe and reliable car. My car just stopped running as I was pulling out of a rest stop. I was near Clanton, 200 miles from home. Not only did Southern Dixie work on my vehicle - the timing belt had slipped, but they also did a full diagnostic of the engine and discovered a cracked piston. Unfortunately, I had a 2014 limited release Fiat GQ, so finding a new or used motor was a monumental effort and we could not find one. In the end, I had to salvage my Fiat and arrange for a tow from Southern Dixie’s shop. The earliest the tow could be scheduled was several days and I had to get back home. Southern Dixie worked with me to release the car to the towing pickup even though I could not be present. While I wish I still had my car, I cannot be more grateful or thankful for the care and accommodation from the entire team at Southern Dixie Auto Repair.
I was referred by one of their competitors for a tow. The lady who answered the phone was polite and professional. She dispatched a young man to come and tow my SUV. He was also very polite and professional. I waited less than 30 minutes. Overall an extremely good experience in a trying situation. I highly recommend them!

Our Subaru broke down (dang electronic thermostat!) around 5pm just south of Clinton and we were STUCK in a perilously narrow shoulder on I 65. Billy came out and got our car AND our camper to the Subaru dealer in Montgomery just in time! He saved the day for sure!!
So far so good.. After setting an appointment to find out why my check engine light had come on, we agreed on a time to have the repair done . I was called and informed of the problem and was given a price for the repair I felt it was fair and reasonable. The repair was completed on the same day and I was able to pick it up and get on my way!!
Call in for new tires and alignment. Robert gave me a quote within seconds, very competitive on the pricing so it was a no brainer. Took my f250 that same night and picked it up the next day. The truck feels and drives like brand new. The team at Southern Dixie are efficient and have very competitive prices. I would definitely recommend them and will keep bringing my vehicles to them. Was broken down on side of 65 heading south to Florida (radiator failure.) I called Southern Dixie Auto, they sent a truck to get us The wait was short..Dropped us off at the hotel.
