Auto Repair and Towing in Clanton, AL

By far the best experience I have ever had at an auto shop. These people care about you. My wife and i were on a trip to see family from northwest Arkansas and our car nearly broke down after a major storm was roaring. They made time to see us before closing and we’re honest in all they did. It is clear that they care about helping primarily. I wish I could get all of my auto repair done at Southern Dixie

I hadn’t planned to meet Jeff yesterday on my way to a beach vacation at Orange Beach, Alabama. Around Clanton, AL (home of the big peach), my van overheated. Popped the hood and nothing in the reservoir. After a waste of a stop at a Toyota dealership and being told it would be Monday before they could repair it. I called Southern Dixie Auto Repair and met Jeff over the phone. He assured me that they would do all they could to get us moving again. They sure did! After quickly diagnosing it, they called local auto parts stores to see who had the part. The answer was no one would have it until Monday. Plan B was in action to cut a pipe and repair it with what they had on hand. When that failed, they kept calling parts places. They found the part 40 minutes away and after a road trip by myself and Jason. Jeff and his tech had the part in hand and fixed it in 20 minutes. Jeff is the owner and cares about people! Good, hard working people like Jeff still exist in this world and I was blessed to meet one yesterday! After a 6 hour detour, we did make it in to the condo last night.

Their team was nothing but helpful when my family and two large dogs needed their help due to a blow out tire that caused additional damage late in the business day on Friday. They offered a loaner car for the night and helped find a place to stay for the evening. They were able to get us back on the road by 10:30am on a Saturday. We can not thank you enough!

If you are in Clanton AL then you need to stop here for all you auto repair needs. These are Gods people. I’ve never felt so welcomed and cared for. I’ll always remember stopping by

Unfortunately we had to have our car towed, but thankfully Southern Dixie was there to help us. The car was in Pelham, AL and had to be towed back to town. I was scared of how much that would cost, honestly. To my surprise the fellas at Southern Dixie’s price was cheaper than what I was expecting. I had never used them before, but I promise I will be calling them anytime we need a tow service!!

Tire blew out on the interstate, our home is a 6 hour drive from here. They were able to put a new tire on and fix up the bumper and everything by the next morning. They basically saved us.

We had a blow out headed 65 north on a Sunday evening. Found this business online to tow us and fix the tire. The owner came very quick and repaired the tire at his shop. It took no longer than an hour from the time we got stuck to getting back on the road. Very reasonable price too!! I would definitely recommend Jeff’s place to travelers in a roadside emergency. Jeff and his team are amazing people!!! We were traveling through AL and had brake issues. He opened up his shop and heart to help us out and keep us rolling. I’m so thankful for his service!!!

They were great, stuck with us (after closing) & helped us make arrangements for rental car & rented us a loaner to drive back to Birmingham airport to pick up rental. Made repairs at a reasonable price & repair included a “nation wide warranty”. We were very lucky to find them so far (500+ miles) from home. Thank You Larry, Robbie, Randy and all the others we didn’t talk to directly.

On the way to my grandmother’s funeral from the Panhandle of Flordia, to Guntersville, AL and our tire blows out on the highway. Everyone worked fast to get us back on the road. It was such a pleasant surprise to have people genuinely care. Thank you ladies and Will! You made a cranky lady so much happier!

While my husband and I were traveling on vacation, we had a blow out. Unfortunately it was later at night and we could not find any places open. When we called the number to see if they were open Jeff answered. He was not even at the shop but he told us to go to the shop and he would meet us there. He took time out of his night to come replace our tire for us. Not only that but he did it in a very timely manner AND AT A GREAT PRICE!!! I would definitely recommend and would return for any other auto repairs needed!!

First time going here. Super impressed. I thought I needed brakes and an oil change. Was quoted for both. The mechanic called and said I didn’t need brakes! They were very professional, courteous and honest. I appreciate that. I will definitely use their services again when needed and I highly recommend them.

I can’t believe that there are still businesses like this around! Jeff made me feel comfortable from the start. My daughter’s car broke down on a late Sunday evening. I called Jeff and he immediately became focused on solving our problem for us. Jeff went above and beyond of what was expected. Jeff dispatched a wrecker to tow my daughter’s car and had it back to the shop in record time! Jeff quickly determined the problem and had my daughter’s car back on the road the next day. All of this was done at a excellent price!
